Good morning! Today I want to talk about Birb and Hitchcock. Two 9-year-old canaries!
Canaries and other small birds still need to live in a large cage so they can move their wings and use their muscles! When these two came to us, they were in a smaller cage and didn’t know how to perch or behave birdlike. It is a common misbelief that small birds could go into smaller cages. So we strongly suggest before adopting a bird please do research and of course we will fill in any gaps you may have.
Canaries can live from 10 to 12 years old and we would love these two to live their golden years being loved by a family! If you think Birb and Hitchcock are the ones for you, please visit our website at cthumane.org/adopt to apply for any of our available pets online.
