Earlier this month, Eversource Energy warned Connecticut officials that it needs to raise over three-billion-dollars in new revenue from ratepayers in the coming years. Eversource indicated that customers will begin feeling the pain in 2027 and will likely involve a big increase in delivery charges on power bills. We asked Senator Ryan Fazio, ranking senator on the Energy and Technology Committee, about solutions to lower energy costs, including eliminating the public benefits section of bills.
