Starting this weekend, you may see more police cruisers popping up in rural towns. That’s because a new DOT rural roads safety campaign is rolling out, aimed at cracking down on speeding and reducing crashes on rural roads across the state. Connecticut State Police Trooper Remonda Zhuta explained the need for this initiative which will run from March 1-May30, 2025.
