Today’s Pet of the Week is going to be little black and white Irene!
- She’s a one-year-old domestic shorthair cat who loves people!
- She hasn’t had too much experience with children, but she’d be willing to share her home with children 8+ who can be gentle and respectful with pets
- This sweet kitty might also be okay with other pets in the home pending a meet and greet
- Irene came to us from Bridgeport animal control when they needed some help rehoming pets
- Irene is a sweet and playful kitty cat who is looking for a consistent home environment where she can enjoy the companionship of her humans by playing and cuddling, but also take some time to herself to nap in a sunny spot of her choosing. Please apply for Irene if you’re interested in learning more about her from one of our adoption counselors!
- Sometimes Irene can become overstimulated, so it’s important to be able to read a cat’s body language to give them the space they need when they’re done playing
- Common signs of overstimulation include: tail swishing, twitching, flattening of ears, etc.
